Hannecart

Originally born in Amsterdam, Hannecart’s passion for music comes naturally from a young age. Both her grand-parents were world traveling musicians, inspiring her with their unique stories. She moved to the Dominican Republic at a very young age and considers that her home. She started collecting music that resonated with her energy both on digital and vinyl since she was 19 years old. Since she moved back to Amsterdam in 2020 to study sound production at SAE, she’s played for collectives like DeBoswachters, Pineapple Project, and Polychrome, and has played several times at one of Amsterdam’s most iconic viewpoints; M’ADAM. She’s traveled to France and Belgium for gigs in the past but is currently focusing on her productions to have her first releases in the coming year.

Her time in Europe has been all about discovering new styles and finding her sound. Diving through the underground scene of Amsterdam and other European cities that have their own unique sounds has really opened up her mind to the kind of story she wants to tell behind the decks. Her music catalog ranges so widely, yet her sound selection allows her to serve smooth opening sets or keep the crowd dancing ‘till the early hours.
